Like most witches/spiritual folks, I love me some card decks and cartomancy! I’ve even had one of my own published (The Witchcraft Therapy Oracle), and have so many more in my idea bank to hopefully bring to life one day!

That being said- I'm actually WAYYYY picky about decks- particularly because I find that I really don't love a lot of the deck art that's out there (sorry!). This isn't to say it's bad... but art is very subjective and although I can appreciate the style of many decks, I don't necessarily connect with or appreciate them 🙈

An additional quirk I have when it comes to decks is that I don't actually love tarot decks (**GASP!!**).

As an ADHD witch, I realized that I am simply not motivated or jazzed to memorize the traditional meanings and symbols, and I’m at the point in my life where I don’t ever force myself to do anything that I clearly don't care to do LOL (life is short and if I wanted to I would).

As an intuitive and energy reader, I stick to intuitive readings, and the quickest way to circumvent impostor syndrome with cartomancy is to just skip the tarot decks for the most part (I do still use very particular tarot cards for very particular reasons).

A question I get a lot (aside from what books I reccommend) is “what decks do you prefer?”. So I created the following list of decks that I love! Some of these are affiliate links, which means Amazon may throw me some pennies if you purchase through the links, but there is no obligation to do so!

FAVORITE DECKS:

The Wild Unknown Tarot by Kim Krans: This was the first deck I got and I fell in. love with it due to it's wild nature imagery and line drawings with splashes of color. It's got a dark and moody feel, and I love it. However, I find it has a very "fuck your feelings" personality LOL. But I can take it, so perhaps you can too!

The Wild Unknown Archetypes Deck by Kim Krans: I'm obsessed with this deck. I love archetypes and working with archetypes, and I use these cards not only for readings but for other spells, meditations, and more. I cannot speak highly enough about this deck! Also, I love her art. This one is more collage style, but I still appreciate the imagery and symbolism.
The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Deck by Kim Krans: Look, I'm gonna be honest here- I would buy a napkin that Kim Krans sneezed into. It is what it is. This deck is great to use with kids or the husband, and good for finding energies to align with if you need quickie guidance. Love it!
Soulcards by Deborah Koff-Chapin: This deck is incredible because it is just imagery... no guidebook, no words, nothing but you and your intuition having an intuition party. LOVE. I feel the most confident when reading with this deck in sessions.
Soulcards 2 by Deborah Koff-Chapin: This is much like the deck above, just another volume of images and opportunities for intuitive readings. LOVE LOVE LOVE lol
Work Your Light Oracle by Rebecca Campbell: I actually don't know what possessed me to get this deck as I really don't love the art, it's very much outside of my regular taste and style but that being said I love this deck, my kids love it too, and I go to it when I want quick and DIRECT guidance. It never fails. Love this one and am glad I got it!
Midnight Magic- A Deck of Mushrooms by Sara Richard: I love this deck for the imagery. Sara Richard is an incredible artist and I love mycology and mushrooms so here we are. If you want a deck that's kinda moody and Goblincore this is for you!
The Herbal Astrology Deck by Adriana Ayales: I got this deck for the imagery and also because it is a herbal deck that includes psychedelic and baneful herbs. I love reading about the meanings in the guidebook and how they correspond to the specific properties of the herbs.
The Rebel Deck (Orginal and the Clean Version for the Youths) by Shannon Gomez: I have the OG Rebel Deck and also the "So Fresh and So Clean" version for the kids. these are fun, direct, and hilarious. Also, Shannon is a truly wonderful human being.
The Cosmic Cunt Tarot: This one is just hilarious, and that's all. Aliens?! The C-Word?! Dildoes?! Shut up and take my money.
