Material Girl: A workshop for the woman who wants more- more money, more success, more power- and has spent years making herself smaller so nobody would call her that.
As a collective, women often learn very early that wanting to be resourced was “greedy”. That being ambitious was intimidating. That success, if it came, should look HUMBLE- apologized for, deflected, and credited to luck.
We learn to repress our very natural and normal desires to feel safe and resourced- and certainly not to have the audacity to claim those desires out loud! The part of us who wants to be paid. Who wants to be wealthy. Who wants to negotiate, charge more, take up space in a room and know her worth.
Because they have a name for women like that you know!
Material girl. Greedy. Ambitious (like it’s a dirty word). Too much. Money hungry!
So you stayed small. You undercharged. You said "whatever you think is fair." You let the raise slide. You made your ambition look like something softer and more acceptable: passion, purpose, service… but babyyyyy…. YOU GET TO HAVE BOTH
You want to be resourced, to have ease, and to BREATHE. And you are ALLOWED.

She has been exiled from us as a collective because somewhere along the way, we decided it was safer to be seen as nice than to be seen as driven.
So she went underground. And she’s been watching you undersell yourself, talk yourself out of raises, and apologize for your prices for YEARS.
